Frequently Asked Questions about Eyelash Extensions

If you have never had eyelash extensions you might have some questions about them. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions below. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to call us. Our experts are here to help you.

How are lash extensions applied?

Eyelash extensions are applied individually, one by one to your natural eyelashes using a medical grade adhesive. Lash extensions come in different lengths, curls and thicknesses, results can vary from very natural to very dramatic.

How long does the procedure take?

New sets can take anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on which set you choose.

What can I do to make my lashes last longer?

Avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours after your appointment, keep out of saunas/steam rooms/hot yoga for 48 hours after your appointment to give the adhesive time to bond to your natural lash. Do not rub, tug, or pick at your lashes. Keep away from oil-based products.

Can I still wear makeup/mascara?

Yes, but please avoid using oil based products near lash line. We recommend not using mascara since it is very difficult to remove from the extensions and it will breakdown the adhesive.

Can I use an eyelash curler?

No, an eyelash curler will break the bond and will damage your natural lashes.

What do I need to do before my appointment?

Please arrive with no eye makeup. Avoid using moisturizers, sunscreens, and removers that have oil-based formulas. Lashes must be clean for adhesive to bond properly.

When do I come in for a touch up?

We recommend clients come in every 2-3 weeks.

How do I remove my lash extensions?

Removals should be done by a trained lash artist. Do not attempt to remove the lash extensions yourself.
